Interior Designer

"Graysford Hall is a luxurious, 68 bed care home located in the leafy avenues of Stoneygate, Leicester. The new build home provides both Nursing and Dementia care to its residents, whilst offering the comfort of cosy and elegant décor to ensure residents feel at home.
The Client brief for this upcoming care home was to create a home full of luxury and elegance but to still be considerate of the nature of the building. The home most definitely glows with elegance but the hidden elements within the interior design is what made the design fit for purpose. Waterproof upholsteries and carpet were used, furniture heights were evaluated, slip resistances and Light Reflective Values met the correct standards and even the extent of patterns was monitored to ensure residents were not over stimulated. It was a highly challenging yet rewarding project to work on, but I was really able to express my creative flair and dementia knowledge to create this beautiful and functional home.
The stylish aesthetics of the Reception and Bar at the entrance of the home presents, warm copper tones co-ordinated with lush velvets, fretwork panelling and a large, eye drawing copper and silver atrium light. These interior elements create a buzzing, 5-star luxury environment to welcome families to spend time with the residents of the home and enjoy a coffee & cake. This area serves as multi-purpose and provides a lounge diner or activity hub during other times of the day so that residents are encouraged to wander from their bedrooms to eat, watch TV and socialise.
Beyond the buzzing atmosphere of this central social space, the rest of the home houses multiple communal rooms, a Private Dining Room, Cinema, Library, Hair Salon, Pamper Room and fully furnished bedrooms and suites which sit along beautifully designed and accessorised corridors that illuminate a homely ambience with every turn of the head.
Graysford Hall provides multiple rooms with varying functions to bring outside life, inside to encourage residents to go about daily life in a safe environment. This, alongside the well-considered and luxurious interior design is what makes Graysford Hall a magnificent place to live".

Project

Manager

"This was the first project catalyst had completed for Sanders senior living, it proved to be a very unique but rewarding project as we were appointed late on in the project so this was a urgency from the start to get everything completed.
This was a great opportunity to show that we were capable of handling such a complex project under difficult time constraints. Our design team certainly enjoyed designing the central hub with the space that was available in the area, it was important to get this area right as it sets the expectation for the rest of the home. A lot of thought went in to creating a enjoyable living space for its residents with a beautifully finished cinema, library, hair salon, therapy room and private dining area, along with the communal lounge & diners carefully positioned around the home. The fit-out team did a fantastic job, completing the installation within a week. Seeing this project make the final of  the SBID awards, makes all the hard work worth it! I know all of the catalyst team are extremely proud to have been a part of such a wonderful project".
